Adonis Chocolate Frosting

Chocolate Frosting to die for! Goes great with Adonis Cake

Ingredients:

  • One 12-once package of silken tofu
  • 3/4 cup dairy-free, semisweet chocolate chips, melted
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract

What has been helpful before blending is placing the silken tofu in a cheese cloth or kitchen cloth to strain out the excess moisture. This helps the frosting retain it’s texture longer.

Melt the chocolate chips in a small saucepan inside another pot of boiling water to prevent burning.

Put the silken tofu in the food processor. Pour the melted chocolate chips into the food processor with the silken tofu and blend.

To the mixture, add the vanilla and blend until the texture is creamy. If desired, add some pure maple syrup to sweeten the frosting. Sweeten according to your own taste.

Use the frosting immediately or set aside inside the refrigerator to use later.

Our children found some different plant based edible decorations that could be used to bring some festive flair to different occasions as a simple customization.
